At the very least, how do you record your voice on Google Docs?
To record, you simply go to Tools and click on Voice Typing. Once expanded, you simply click on the microphone to turn it on and off.
In short, how do you add music to a Google Docs? To add music to a single slide you need to first have your audio available through YouTube, in Google Drive, or hosted on a publically accessible server. On the slide you want to add audio, select Insert - Add video. (If you have the option to “Add audio”, see instructions below.)
On another note, how do I create an audio file?
Often the simplest method is to:
Open a new text message.
Press the record button to record your voice.
Send the audio text to your email account.
The text will show up in your email account, along with a file of your recording. Save that file to your computer.
How do you add an audio file to Google classroom?
Uploading Audio to Google Classroom
Within Google Classroom, create a new assignment and “Click upload a file”
Drag the file into the window or browse your computer to select your “Audio File”
Click the “Upload” button.
In Google Classroom you should see your Audio File.
If you or your students click on the file name, they will see this screen:
Android: Google Voice Typing Install the Google Docs app, open a document, and tap the microphone icon located to the left of the space bar on the on-screen keyboard. Then talk. Google Voice Typing turns your speech into text.
To add the audio to Google Slides, open your presentation, click Insert on the menu bar, scroll down and select Audio. A window will pop up where you can search for an audio file on your Drive. Find your file then click Select. Your audio is now embedded in your slide!
To make the recordings, students could use whatever video or audio recording apps they wanted. We have found that the camera app that comes on Chromebooks, smartphones and tablets works the best. Some students used the Voice Memo app, Photo Booth app (on a Mac laptop) or even GarageBand.
Students can record themselves using the integrated recording function of Google Classroom. However, this feature is available only on the mobile app. To record a video of themselves and upload it as an assignment submission the students must perform the following steps: Install the Google Classroom mobile app.
